  • In the event of inclement weather, representatives from the FYHA Board of Directors will contact rink management to discuss weather and road conditions. If the rink will remain open, generally practices and games will be held. If the rink will be closed, or conditions require cancellation of practices (or games), the attempt will be made to make the decision several hours before the scheduled activities. For evening practices, the Board will attempt to make and communicate a decision to cancel evening activities by 2pm. The decision will be communicated by a post to the FYHA website and email to association members.
  • Coaches and Team Managers may also decide to cancel activities based on changing weather and road conditions. Coaches and Team Managers will also attempt to make the decision several hours before scheduled activities and will communicate their decision to not only team players and parents, but also to the FYHA BOD so that decisions can be made on use of forfeited ice time.
  • Road and weather conditions can vary throughout the Flagstaff area. Parents and players are advised to make the decision to attend activities based on local conditions and their best judgement. Please contact coaches when you cannot make practice or a game because of weather conditions.
  • If there are any question regarding policies or status of ice activities, please contact president@fyha.org and/or vicepresident@fyha.org.
