Come out and celebrate the end of the season with all of FHYA
Year-end update from the FYHA president, special recognition of our graduating seniors, awards ceremony for all teams, board nominee introductions, and a cash bar.
Thanks to the AZ Coyote Alumni Association, FYHA has been given 16 box seats to an upcoming Coyote game (March 18) to raffle off as a fundraiser. These seats are worth $150 each and we are selling raffle tickets for $20 to win a 4-pack of box seats.
Each FYHA player should have received a few tickets to sell for the fundraiser. (If you did not receive tickets, please see your team manager). If you need more tickets than you received, please let your team manager know! Tickets must be sold by February 21st. 100% of the proceeds will stay with FYHA and will be put towards the hiring and retention of a Coaching Coordinator for next year.
The drawing will take place the first week of March. Thank you for selling tickets!
FYHA BOD Meeting 2/9/2017 5:30PM Jay Lively
In the event of inclement weather, representatives from the FYHA Board of Directors will contact rink management to discuss weather and road conditions. If the rink will remain open, generally practices and games will be held. If the rink will be closed, or conditions require cancellation of practices (or games), the attempt will be made to make the decision several hours before the scheduled activities. For evening practices, the Board will attempt to make and communicate a decision to cancel evening activities by 2pm. The decision will be communicated by a post to the FYHA website and email to association members.
Coaches and Team Managers may also decide to cancel activities based on changing weather and road conditions. Coaches and Team Managers will also attempt to make the decision several hours before scheduled activities and will communicate their decision to not only team players and parents, but also to the FYHA BOD so that decisions can be made on use of forfeited ice time.
Road and weather conditions can vary throughout the Flagstaff area. Parents and players are advised to make the decision to attend activities based on local conditions and their best judgement. Please contact coaches when you cannot make practice or a game because of weather conditions.
If there are any question regarding policies or status of ice activities, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and/or email@example.com.
Don't forget to buy your tickets for the Coyotes game on January 21st. www.arizonacoyotes.com/FYHANorthstars
